How did they manage 30 years ago? I am clearly a child of the modern era. (Left) my brand new computer. (Right) my very first laptop. I took this photo the day I tuned-up, cleaned and got my original baby ready to pass along to a new, very proud owner. I had won her, the Toshiba M200 Portege on eBay from a company in Toronto.  I lost the bid on the first one...

It’s official, I am now doing portraits. After having done a surprise commission for my friend Angela (see here), I noticed that it was a lot easier for me to draw a real person’s face than it used to be.  It helped that she looks like the characters I usually draw and maybe that was just it…my mind had a segway to connect the cartoon...

I did this one for my friend Angela… We met years ago when she was visiting Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast, BC back when I lived there.  She had this cute pet rat that hung out on her shoulder and in her blouse, I loved it.  I gave her the website address to my art site.  She signed up to my mailing list and has provided great feedback...

Whatever compelled this guy to make this, I don’t know but damn I love it.  The quote at its base reads:  ”A device to root out evil.”  Given my religious upbringing and my subsequent rejection of this indoctrination, I felt that at the very least this statue is controversial…which I like.  Dennis Oppenheim made the sculpture,...
